Tagaytay, October 2011

Super delayed post. I got married last October! I’ll be posting pics soon. Anyway, we had our honeymoon in Tagaytay. We spent the first 2 nights at Lee Boutique, then the rest of the honeymoon at Keni Po.  We ate nonstop, vegged out on the bed and watched cooking shows and finished The Game of Thrones. We didn’t go horseback riding or try the cable car cos… I don’t know. Our idea of having fun is boring to most people. We did go night swimming in Keni Po’s pool. That was fun. I never really liked swimming in pools cos the thought of being immersed in water (and accidentally swallowing it) which has been through other people’s orifices grosses me out. But we were the only ones swimming, and I haven’t gone swimming for a long time and yeah, I wanted to wear a bikini (what? I’ve never worn one ever).  Then he had to go back to Singapore (boooooo). And as  for me, I’m still here… and still a bum.  We won’t be spending Christmas together which is a bummer, but it’s okay cos he’s coming back on January. Can’t wait!!!

I was just going to buy detergent at Pure Gold with my mom and check out envelopes for the wedding invitations at National Bookstore. Then I came across the kids’ section at Pure Gold and saw this:

It’s Enid of Ghost World (a movie which had a huuuuge influence on me)played by Thora Birch.

I was so stoked to find a shirt like that in Pure Gold I just had to get it for my goddaughter, Radha. She just had her birthday and being the crappy ninang that I am, I still haven’t given her a gift. Oo, nabarok yung shirt ng konti pero I still loooooooove it.

I also bought her a gray pair of shorts which looks like a tutu. I just hope it fits her.

I’m going to turn her into a mini Ninang Nev. *evil laugh*

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bataan

Went here with my family to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. The place is amazing. The owner actually “disassembled” old houses from different parts of the country and then put it back together here in order to preserve it. I didn’t take a lot of photos which I regret. There’s also a  pool and a beach just beside the place. I didn’t go swimming, though. I probably would’ve it wasn’t too hot and sunny (I like gloomy weather).

Excel Wedding Planner

I’m back in the Philippines. I’m supposed to be taking care of my wedding which will be in 3-1/2 months, but I haven’t done a thing at all. Except this. It all started with me being anal and making my guest list on Excel, then I googled for a wedding check list and then I found one in Excel format. Then I started tweaking it and came up with this. It includes worksheets for guest lists, entourage, budget, checklist and suppliers (in Filipino style). The charts I made aren’t blindingly complicated.  Hopefully, somebody else will find this useful. :)

Books and Shoes

I’m bored, so here I am again. Got secondhand books yesterday.

And the shoes I ordered on ebay arrived today!!!! I was so scared to open the package cos I thought they weren’t going to fit me, but they fit me perfectly!!! These will be my wedding boots. I know most people will be like, huh? I don’t care. I LOVE IT. I’m going for the Victorian/medieval/witch-y look. I’m sooooo excited. I didn’t take pictures though, but here’s a pic from the site:

It took me an hour to decide what size to order. Thank God it fits me.
